We celebrated my hubby's 33rd birthday yesterday. Even though he says it isn't a big deal and we shouldn't be celebrating his birthday anymore, to me, the day he was born is definitely a reason to celebrate. :)
I was planning on getting up bright and early to make him breakfast in bed, but that didn't happen due to the fact that we went to bed at 2:00 in the morning. This little guy, however, was more than willing to help mama make breakfast in the morning. As soon as he saw me in the kitchen he came running to me and said " I wanna help." So I let him help me mix all the ingredients in the bowl to make pancakes. He was so excited.
After our delicious breakfast, the boys went out to run some errands, and us girls stayed home and baked a cake for the birthday boy and got extreme with chalean. ( Well I got extreme. Haylee just ran around, playing, and eating otter pops ;) ) I waited for them to get home to frost it, because I knew Aidan would want to help since he has been such a little helper lately, and because mommy isn't that good at frosting cakes anyway.
We sang happy birthday, told him to make a wish, and aidan helped him blow out the candles.
Then I forced him we took some pictures, because I know how much he loves them.
Can you tell? ;)
It was a pretty low-key birthday, spent at home.
Just us four.
